Description
A square serving board with three smaller recesses along one edge and a large field below them. The small fields are for sauces, seasonings or sides, the large one for the main part of the serving. The layout is common in hospitality, because a waiter carries a whole plate in one piece.
The panel is beech, 19 millimetres thick, glued up from several lengthwise staves. The edges are rounded, and a shallow channel runs around the rim to hold juices and keep them off the table.
Three small recesses along the edge are exactly what a tasting calls for — three sauces, three seasonings or three samples beside the main part. For that reason the board is often ordered in batches by restaurants with a fixed menu.
Wash by hand in lukewarm water and wipe dry with a cloth.
