Description

A wooden egg, turned on a lathe from a single piece of beech. It has two traditional uses: darning socks, where it is put inside to stretch the fabric, and as a base for painting and decoupage before Easter.

The shape is full and smooth, with no edges and no joints, so a needle slides across the surface without catching.

The size follows a real egg, so it sits in the palm. Beech is dense and hard, which means the egg does not absorb paint and does not dent while it is being worked on.

After painting it can be varnished and kept from year to year — unlike a real egg, this one goes back in the box after Easter and comes out again the next spring.

  • Material: beech wood, turned from one piece
  • Code: 1680
  • Shape: egg, hand-sized
  • Use: darning, painting, decoupage
  • Care: wipe clean, keep dry

We also do laser engraving — a name, logo or dedication on the piece itself. The price of engraving depends on its size and is agreed per order. For engraving, larger quantities and delivery terms write to us at office@kolibica.com.
