Description
A serving board of 450 × 290 millimetres, 30 millimetres thick, cut to the outline of Serbia. A board that is a map — used for serving, and recognised immediately for what it is.
Thirty millimetres is twice the usual thickness, which gives the board weight and presence on the table. The outline is cut cleanly and the edges are rounded by hand where the shape turns.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves. At 29 centimetres wide a solid panel would warp; the glued construction is what lets a board of this size and thickness stay flat.
Boards in this shape go out mostly as gifts — to guests from abroad, to business partners, to people who have left the country. Laser engraving of a name or a dedication is possible; the price depends on the size of the engraving and is agreed in advance.
