Description
A candlestick 120 millimetres across and 240 tall, with a cross cut into the column. A piece made for a home icon corner or for a church, where a candle stands rather than being held.
The base is wide in proportion to the height, which is what keeps a lit candle stable. The cross is cut through the column rather than applied to it.
Beech, turned and carved. The wood is dense enough to hold a cut edge cleanly, which matters on a piece where the carving is the whole point.
Candlesticks of this kind are given as gifts for a slava, a christening or a house blessing. We can add a laser-engraved name or date; the price depends on the size of the engraving and is agreed beforehand.
