Description
A serving board 400 × 250 millimetres with metal handles on the long sides and wavy edges. The metal handles sit above the surface, so the board is lifted without fingers coming near the food — useful when a hot dish is carried out. The wavy edges follow the natural outline of the panel.
The panel is beech, glued up from several staves, 19 millimetres thick. The handles are bolted through the panel, not glued. Beech carries the weight well and does not flex under a full serving.
If the handles work loose over time, it is enough to tighten the screws from below — the wood around them moves with changes in humidity, so that is normal after the first season.
Wipe the panel with a damp cloth; dry around the handles separately.
