Description
A serving board 400 × 185 millimetres with a small rounded handle at the corner and a darker finished edge. The handle is short and does not lengthen the board, yet is enough to take hold of it and lift it. The format is narrow and long, made for cold cuts and cheese served in a single row.
The panel is beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech is dense and hard, so a knife mark stays shallow and the board keeps a flat surface for a long time.
The darker edge is the result of the finish and evens out with time, especially if the board is oiled regularly. That is expected behaviour in wood, not a fault in the making.
Wash by hand, do not soak; wipe dry at once.
