Description
A serving board 290 × 190 millimetres with a cut corner and a lighter, slightly bleached surface. A smaller format for everyday use — coffee and cake, cheese and fruit, or a starter for two. The cut corner makes it easier to pick up and gives it a recognisable outline.
The panel is beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech is dense and does not take on smells, so after washing no trace of the previous dish remains.
The lighter tone of the surface comes from the finish rather than a different species — underneath it is the same beech. With time, use and oil, the colour deepens and the difference narrows.
Wash by hand in lukewarm water and wipe dry at once.
