Description
An elongated serving board 490 × 200 millimetres, with a square seat hollowed at one end. The seat takes a sauce, a side or a small bowl, while the rest of the board stays for the main dish. The layout is made for hospitality, where one piece has to carry a whole meal.
The panel is beech, glued up from several staves, 19 millimetres thick. The seat is hollowed into the panel itself with a rounded bottom, so it empties and wipes out easily. The edges are finished and rounded.
If a bowl is set in the seat instead of filling it directly, check its diameter — the recess is square, so round dishes of a smaller diameter slide about in it.
Wash the seat straight after use; sauce dries quickly in the corners.
