Description
A rectangular serving board 440 × 215 millimetres, with a channel cut inside the rim. It has no dividers and no handle — a clean working surface that serves equally for cutting and for bringing food out. The channel takes the juices when a roast or juicy fruit is cut.
The panel is beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech is hard and dense, so a knife mark stays shallow and the surface keeps flat for a long time. The staves are laid so that the shift of tone runs along the length of the board.
The channel is set in from the edge, leaving a rim to grip without touching the food. That is the difference from boards where the channel runs right along the edge.
Do not soak and do not put it in a dishwasher.
