Description
A large serving board 770 × 330 millimetres, with a drawn-out handle at one end and two cut-out handles at the sides. Three grips mean a full board is carried safely, with both hands, and set down without tilting. This is a format for a large party, for a hospitality table, or for a serving brought out as one piece.
The panel is beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves. At 33 centimetres wide a solid piece is out of the question — it would warp and split. Gluing gives a panel that stays flat even under load, and the 19 millimetre thickness carries a heavier serving.
A board this size is not washed in the sink but wiped down on the worktop, because it simply does not fit. For that reason it helps to keep a larger cloth used only for it.
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry; do not soak.
