Description
A serving board with a rounded handle and a hanging hole, 400 millimetres long overall. The run from the working surface into the handle is soft, with no sharp angle, so the board sits well in the hand when carried full. At 180 millimetres wide it takes cold cuts or bread in a single row.
The panel is beech, glued up from several staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech is hard and dense, so a knife mark stays shallow and the board keeps a flat surface for a long time.
The soft run from panel to handle is also where dirt does not gather, unlike a sharp angle — that is the spot most often left unwashed on boards with handles.
Wash by hand and wipe dry with a cloth.
