Description
A serving board with an extended handle, 350 millimetres long overall and 170 wide. The working surface is rectangular and flat, without dividers, so it is usable both for cutting and for carrying out. The hole at the end of the handle is for hanging, so the board need not lie in a cupboard after use.
It is made of beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech does not blunt a knife and does not take on smells, so the same board is used for bread and for cheese without trouble.
A longer handle also means the board tips when held only by it, so a full one is better taken under the panel. The handle is above all for hanging and for pulling it off the shelf.
Wash by hand, do not soak; wipe dry at once.
