Description
A wooden measuring scoop, the middle size of the range. It measures the same amount every time, so a recipe is repeated without scales — the way a household worked before scales came into the kitchen.
The bowl is deep and rounded and the handle short, so the scoop goes into a jar or a bag and takes the contents right to the bottom.
Beech, turned and shaped. The surface is smooth, so flour and sugar do not cling in the bowl and the scoop empties cleanly.
The middle size is the one most used, because it matches the quantities most recipes are written in — a scoop of flour, a scoop of sugar, rather than grams.
