Crate 2 measures 210 × 170 × 80 millimetres — lower and shorter than Crate 1, for items that lie flat rather than stand upright. Soaps, preserves, chocolates, small tools.
The low sides mean the contents are visible from the side as well as from above, which is why this format is chosen for display rather than transport.
Wood, assembled as an open crate. The corners are nailed and the edges cleaned, so the crate can be handled without snagging.
Shops reuse crates like this on the shelf: filled, emptied and filled again with the next batch. Wood takes that cycle without losing shape, which cardboard does not.
