Description
A board for pastrmajlija, size V — the larger of the two, for a full-size portion or for two servings side by side. The elongated oval matches the shape the dough takes in the oven.
The whole surface is usable, with no channel or divider, so the dish lies flat and is cut on the board itself. The edges are rounded and finished.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, which is the only way to get a panel this wide that stays flat. A solid piece would warp, especially under a hot dish.
Size V is taken where pastrmajlija is shared rather than served per person — the board goes to the middle of the table and everyone cuts from it.
