Description
A wooden cooking spoon 250 millimetres long — the shortest in the range. For smaller pans and frying pans, for stirring a sauce, and for work at the stove where a long handle is in the way.
The bowl is shallow and rounded, so the spoon reaches into the corner of a pan rather than skating over it.
Beech. A short spoon means the hand is closer to the heat, so the wood matters: beech does not conduct it, and the handle stays comfortable.
Most kitchens end up with two spoons — a short one for pans and a long one for pots. The short one gets used more, because most cooking happens in a pan.
