Description
Board T2 is a metre and a half long, 250 millimetres wide — the longer of the pair. It runs down a long table end to end, which is how a whole selection is served in one place.
The width stays at 25 centimetres, so even at this length the board leaves the table usable on both sides. The surface is unbroken from one end to the other.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. At a metre and a half a solid plank is impossible — it would twist and cup. Glued construction is what makes the length achievable.
Loaded, a board this long is carried by two people. Venues set it in place before it is filled and leave it there for the whole service.
