Description
Board T1, one metre long and 250 millimetres wide. A table-length serving board, for a row of appetisers, a line of pizzas or a charcuterie spread down the centre of a table.
The narrow width is deliberate: at 25 centimetres the board takes one row of items and leaves the table free on both sides for plates and glasses.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. A metre of solid plank would twist along its length; glued staves are what keep a board this long straight and flat.
Boards of this length are used for sharing. One goes down the middle of a table of six or eight, and everybody takes from it where they sit.
