Description
A thinner serving board 245 × 175 millimetres, 10 millimetres thick, with one rounded corner and a round opening for hanging. The smaller thickness makes it light — this is the board kept within reach and used all day, for bread, cheese or fruit.
The panel is beech and glued up from several staves. The opening is reinforced around the rim, so the edge does not wear from the hook. The surface is sanded smooth, left in the natural colour of the wood, and can be oiled from time to time.
After washing, that spot around the opening should be wiped first, because water lingers there longest.
Wash briefly by hand and wipe dry; a thin panel takes up moisture faster.
