Description
Sixty centimetres — the largest round board in the range. It is less a board than a serving surface, used where a whole course is presented in one place: a roast with sides, or a full cheese and charcuterie spread.
The circle is flat and unbroken, with a rounded rim. Nothing divides the surface, so the layout is decided by whoever sets it.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves. At this diameter a solid panel is impossible — it would warp, split and come apart. The glued panel is what keeps 60 centimetres of wood flat.
Boards this size are usually bought by venues rather than households, because they need a table wide enough to take them and two hands to move them when loaded.
