Description
A round board of 35 centimetres, for a table where the board is the centrepiece. It holds a full selection — several cheeses, cured meat, nuts and fruit — laid out in sections.
Being round, it is reachable from every side, so guests serve themselves without the board being passed. The rim is rounded and the surface is uninterrupted.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Gluing is what makes a panel this wide stay flat; a solid one would cup within a season.
A board this size is heavy enough to stay put when several people reach across it at once, which is why it is preferred to a large platter for a standing table.
