Description
The Profi S board — from the professional line, made for kitchens that use a board all day. Size S is the smallest of the line, for the cutting station where space is short.
Thicker and heavier than a household board, so it does not slide on the worktop when force is used. The surface is flat, with no channel, which makes it quick to clean between tasks.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves. Professional boards are glued for exactly this reason: a solid panel of this width would open at the end grain after repeated washing.
Weight is the point of this line. A board that stays put while meat is cut on it is safer than a light one, which is why commercial kitchens pay more for the heavier version.
