Description
A set of six boards, each 300 × 200 millimetres and 19 thick — one pizza slice per board, six at a time. Sold as a set, because this is how a pizza is served by the slice at a counter or a party.
Each board is a plain rectangle with a flat surface, so the slices sit level and are carried one at a time. Six matches the standard cut of a large pizza.
Beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves. At 20 centimetres wide each board would warp if it were a single piece, and a set is only useful if all six stay the same shape.
Sets like this are bought by bars and small pizzerias that sell by the slice. The board goes out with the slice and comes back to be wiped, which is faster than plating.
