Description
A wooden paper towel holder with a base 135 millimetres across and a column 320 tall. The roll goes on from the top and the wide base keeps the stand upright, so the paper tears with one hand.
That is the whole requirement of a towel holder: the stand must not move when the paper is pulled. A narrow base tips and then has to be held down with the other hand.
Wood, turned and assembled. The column is smooth so the roll turns freely rather than binding part-way through.
A wooden holder is chosen over a metal one because it is heavy enough at the base to stand on its own, and because it belongs on a kitchen worktop rather than looking like equipment.
