Description
The Lora board, 450 × 200 millimetres, elongated and rounded with an opening at one end. The opening serves for holding and for hanging, so the board hangs on a hook after use instead of taking up cupboard space.
The shape is soft, with no sharp corners, and sits equally well on the table and on the wall. The surface is flat and without dividers, so it takes both cutting and serving.
The panel is beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech is hard and dense, so a knife mark stays shallow. Wash by hand in lukewarm water and wipe dry at once.
The opening at the end is wide enough to take a finger, so the board is lifted without feeling for the edge. Hung up, it hangs straight, because the opening is centred on the width.
