Description
A board 300 × 200 millimetres with a channel cut inside the rim. A standard kitchen format — big enough for everyday cutting, small enough to fit the worktop and to wash quickly.
The channel takes the juices when meat, a roast or juicy fruit is cut, so the kitchen surface stays dry. The surface is flat, without dividers, and both faces are usable.
The panel is beech, glued up from several lengthwise staves, 19 millimetres thick. Beech does not blunt an edge and a cut mark on it stays shallow.
The rim channel holds about two tablespoons of liquid, enough for one medium roast. For juicier meat, tilt the board towards the channel before you start cutting.
