Description
A narrow wooden dish for eggs, 210 × 60 millimetres, with a row of recesses along its length. Each recess takes one egg and holds it upright, so boiled eggs come to the table without separate cups.
Because of the small width the dish is made from a single piece of beech. The recesses are hollowed to a depth that holds the egg steady while still letting it be picked up with the fingers.
The recesses are made for medium eggs; very large ones sit a little higher but still securely. After Easter the dish is also used for small savoury snacks, so it does not go unused.
Wash by hand in lukewarm water and wipe dry with a cloth at once.
