Description
A large rectangular bowl 490 × 250 millimetres with a wide shallow trough. The format is made for hospitality — one dish carries the serving for a whole table, and the low rim does not block the view of what is inside.
The trough takes up nearly the whole surface, with a narrow flat rim left for holding. The depth is 30 millimetres, enough for cold cuts, pastries or whole fruit.
Because it carries a whole serving, this dish is usually brought out once and stays on the table to the end. Bear the weight in mind when it is full — lift it with both hands, by the rim.
Wash by hand, do not soak; wipe dry at once.
